We are looking for an enthusiastic Advertising Sales Executive to drive our nationwide (and international) appeal, boost our ad sales and play a key role in on our commercial team. Job description:

B2B focused, selling advertising for our print publication and website.

  • Sell advertising within publication and digital
  • Make presentations to clients and media agencies
  • Build excellent relationships with clients
  • Work closely with the editorial team to develop commercial opportunities

Essential skills

  • Demonstrable track record of success in sales
  • Experience of publishing and media related business preferred
  • Assured and structured sales technique
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to write compelling sales proposals
  • Client relationship building skills
  • Articulate and persuasive manner
  • Confident negotiator
  • Numerate, well organised, good IT and administration skills
  • Polished, professional and presentable

Key duties

  • Telephone sales and attending face-to-face meetings
  • Achieving minimum number of effective sales calls each day
  • Meeting regular sales targets – both print and digital
  • Actively seeking new clients and managing existing accounts
